Since its launch in 1996, the Pokemon trading card game has released hundreds of collector sets featuring rare and unique Pokemon cards that would make any collector drool. However, from the start, the TCG incorporated limited edition items such as the highly sought after 1st Edition and Shadowless Pokémon cards. The rare variants were so collectible that 1999 base game 1st edition Charizard cards now sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Pokémon fans’ obsession with the limited TCG collectibles only increased further when Pokémon Shining cards were introduced in 2001 Neo Revelation expansion. As if that wasn’t amazing enough, the set also included a Pikachu Gold Star and a Mewtwo Gold Star. The Ultra-Premium Collection also included gold-plated versions of the iconic Pokémon cards Pikachu and Charizard from the 1999 core set, which made them an instant hit with collectors. the Diamond and Pearl era of TCG officially debuted in 2006 and introduced the hugely popular Pokémon LV.X cards. As a promotional link with the Official Pokemon Magazine, the TCG got the Platinum Series collection. The collector’s set is a dream come true for Gen 4 fans, as it includes the three legendary Sinnoh, Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina, as promotional Pokemon cards. The collection also includes a special Pokémon Platinum displays as well as an Arceus mini figure which is now incredibly rare. Although it debuted in 2019, the Hidden Fates the expansion has already become one of the most popular sets in the TCG due to the presence of beloved Pokémon in their rare shiny forms. It’s no surprise that the ambitious Pokemon Card expansion also features an epic Collector’s Edition. The special version is one of the coolest modern collections, as it included a Pokemon Full Art Shiny Rayquaza card, as well as a Gold Solgaleo and Lunala promo card. The Collector’s Edition is housed in a beautiful box and also includes 15 Hidden Fates booster packs.
