Celebrate First Lady Lucy Hayes’ birthday with a weekend of hands-on activities, a flower arranging class and more on Saturday, August 27 and Sunday, August 28 at the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums.
Activities include a scavenger hunt, craft projects, birthday tea, and hands-on artifact opportunities.
The first lady would have turned 191 on Sunday, August 28. The activities chosen reflect her interests, from making flower arrangements for friends and state dinners at the White House to butterflies, birds and other aspects of nature.
First Lady Lucy Hayes’ birthday celebration is sponsored by Abrechta & Coble LTD.
The entertainment program and prices are as follows:
Saturday August 27
• 9:00am-5:00pm – Free lemonade and birthday treats in the museum lobby; Hunt for butterflies in the field. Free.
