Bush Chronicles established sales at 7,103 on Day 1

Just over 20% of the Limited Edition 2020 Coin and Chronicles Set – George Herbert Walker Bush, was sold on September 17 by the US Mint on the first day of sales.

Day one sales reached 7,103 sets. As of September 21, 7,280 sets are registered sold.

Product is limited to one release of 35,000 sets at $ 120 each. During the first 24 hours of sale, there was an order limit of one set per household.

The order restriction was then lifted after the first day.

Set includes one George Herbert Walker Bush 2020-S reverse proof Presidential Dollar, one 1.598 inch 1 oz .999 Presidential Fine Matte Finish Silver Medal, and one 1.3125 inch Barbara Bush First Spouse Bronze Medal with a play finish of uncirculated coins.

Also included is a full color illustrated biographical booklet and an example of the George HW Bush Forever U.S. postage stamp issued in 2019. The Stamp Art is a portrait of the 41st President painted by award-winning artist Michael J. Deas. The art is based on a 1997 photograph by Timothy Greenfield Sanders.

President Bush passed away on November 30, 2018, at the age of 94.

Bush’s presidential silver medal is minted at the San Francisco Mint, but without the establishment’s S Mint mark.

The silver medal illustrates the same designs as Bush’s presidential bronze medal.

Overall only

The 2020-S Inverted Bush Presidential Dollar and Bush Presidential Silver Medal are only available in the Limited Edition set.

The Barbara Bush First Spouse medal is struck at the Philadelphia Mint without the P Mint mark.

The Barbara Bush Bronze Medal features the same designs as the Uncirculated $ 10 Gold Coins and Barbara Bush First Spouse 2020-W Proof.

The set is not part of the offerings to the 18 Authorized Resellers that make up the Authorized Wholesale Purchase Program.

Some programs allow participants to place orders of up to a combined 10 percent of the maximum allowable circulation and to collect the product before the numismatic product option is available to the public.
